Privacy Films - Frosting, One-Way Vision and Block-out Film

There are 3 main types of privacy film. These allow one-way vision, obscured vision or total block-out.

One Way Vision

This is a micro-perforated vinyl film. It provides privacy and solar control benefits to people inside buildings and vehicles without preventing their view to the outside. When looking at the side with graphics, the eye is drawn to the printed colours. Light still passes through the see-through areas (holes) allowing people inside to see out (provided the lighting on the outside is brighter than the inside). It is popular on trade vehicles to keep tools out of sight and reduce risk from the opportunist theif.

Frosting and Textile films

Window films can be used to increase privacy around your business or residential property while still letting light through your windows.

Common applications are applying frosting to meeting rooms, or windows and doors in your home. You can also use window frosting for safety to make large glass areas more visible.

As an upmarket alternative to frosting, there is transparent, woven fabric that can be applied directly on to glass surfaces. It has a linen look providing your home or office space a soft, minimalistic appearance. This film comes in several neutals tones, but can also be printed and used to create relaxing landscape scenes or attention-grabbing shop window displays.

Block out vinyl films

Vinyl can be printed and applied to windows to give total privacy within. This is ideal for businesses with large glass frontages with shelving or display stands backing onto them. Window space becomes a billboard for vibrant signage opportunities.
