Celebrating 20 Years of Success
This is a very special year for the Speedy Signs brand as we're celebrating 20 years in business! On February 16th 1998, the pilot store in Penrose, Auckland commenced operations. Since then, a further 24 locations have opened with the brand now represented nationwide, from Whangarei to Invercargill.
Let's take a look at our journey from 1998 to 2018.
1998 - Where it all began. Founders, Grant and Sarah Archibald opened the pilot store in Penrose, Auckland.
2000 - A new millennium - we started franchising, opening East Tamaki, Manukau, Albany, Newton & Christchurch Central.
2001 - Opened Hamilton, Wellington Central, Riccarton, Downtown, Auckland & Newmarket. Digital printing added to standard equipment.
2002 - Opened Takapuna, Dunedin & Hutt Valley.
2003 - Group turnover reaches $5 million.
2005 - First national conference held in Rotorua. Opened the first provincial store in Whangarei.
2006 - Group turnover reaches $10 million.
2007 - Opened Rotorua, Nelson & Invercargill.
2008 - Opened Hastings, Palmerston North & New Plymouth. Celebrates 10 years in business at national conference in Taupo.
2011 - First co-brand location with Embroidme trialled in Rotorua.
2012 - Spot the difference .... Speedy Signs Rebrand.
2013 - Celebrates 15 years in business. Group turnover reaches $15 million.
2014 - A trip to the Capital - national conference held in Wellington.
2015 - Bruce and Lynette Hopkins, Manukau ranked within the top 10 sales of global network.
2016 - Opened Henderson & Queenstown.
2017 - Opened Porirua-Kapiti & Tauranga.
2018 - Celebrates 20 years in business. Founders, Grant and Sarah Archibald personally congratulated by Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern on actual 20th anniversary. Group turnover reaches $20 million in annual sales.
